Help an orphanage for young girls

The orphanage “Melissa” is based in Greece, Thessaloniki and was build in the 1920s after the world war. It’s purpose is taking in young girls from the age of 4-18 years that have survived traumatising events in their life. Melissa creates a safe home for young girls where they can also start fresh and live out their dreams.
Us, the people creating this, are a small friend group that have been donating to the orphanage “Melissa” for the past five years. We have gotten really close to the hardworking people there but sadly there is only so much we can do and now we want to do more. The current donations are not enough to simply survive and create the opportunities these girls deserve and need. There have been weeks where a simple thing as shampoo has run out.
Melissa truly loves their kids. Some of the people working there have been working without a salary because the orphanage can’t afford it. Just because the girls had a rough start doesn’t mean things like education, interests and again the simplest thing like shampoo should be a financial problem.
With your donation you would help keep that orphanage alive. Your donation would go to things like…
- food
- bath essentials
- education
- salary
- hobbies
…basically human necessities everyone should have.
One of our wish, besides keeping this program alive, is that we can raise enough money for them to have spare cash to buy a new couch. Their current couch is in a bad condition and because they spend a lot a time in that room we think they would benefit of a new one.
