Help Amy Create a Revolution in Dating Apps

First, let me say this: I am the mother of two. I am a research scientist. And... I am single. To say I have a busy and hectic life is an understatement. I tried many of the dating apps on the market and found myself spending lots of valuable time staring at my phone – typing, swiping, and filling out forms. The whole process got my wheels spinning.

 

At a twelve-week intensive “programming bootcamp” for software developers two years ago, I did a mock-up of an app which makes dating easier and less time consuming. At the time, it was just a thought bouncing around in my mind. After presenting my mock-up exercise to the group, I was dumbfounded by the number of people asking if I planned to develop the idea further.

 

For the past couple of years, I have worked on the idea in my spare time to develop the algorithms required to power the site. As they neared completion, I discovered the algorithms were unique enough they can and should be patented.

 

Here’s where I need help.

The legal costs associated with the patent are beyond my means. The total legal costs of the two or three patent applications could total $20-30,000. The cost of a short video to better explain how the system works will run $3,000.

 

I am targeting a GoFundMe campaign to raise the first $10,000 in costs. Once the first patent application is completed, I believe investors will be interested in helping with the final costs.
