Help Amuchin Study Computer Engineering at Mohawk!

Donation protected
Amuchin Feoley Togba (26) has recently been accepted into the Computer Engineering Technician program at Mohawk College. This is great news! He was studying electronic engineering in his home country of Liberia, and dreams of getting a computer engineering job that would allow him to contribute to Liberian society and train other young people in Liberia.

Things have been difficult in Liberia, with a weak economy and instability from political protests. Amuchin has been trying to get a good education there, but it has been difficult.

That's why it's so exciting for him to be accepted into Mohawk College, a strong school with many international students in Hamilton, Ontario. As a bonus, Hamilton is also where his mom, Feona, currently lives. She is excited to be reunited with her son and help him as he goes through his schooling.

Thanks to you, we were able to pay for his first semester last year ($8000 CAD). That was huge!

But then his student visa application was denied, as often happens. The Canadian government said they weren't confident that he had enough support to pay for subsequent semesters.

We'll show them! As I write this on Sept. 30, we're already about halfway to our second $8000 goal--just under $4000 left to go.  But there is very little time. He has to apply very soon for his next visa if he hopes to make it to Canada by the start of the next semester in January.

THANK YOU for helping Amuchin pursue his studies in Hamilton! Time is running short--please share this campaign widely!
