Peace be upon you. My name is Mohammad Okasha - before this genocidal war I had a beautiful life as a 32-year-old father of two, a husband, a son, a brother, and a hairdresser. I enjoyed being a part of my community and using my artistic skills to make my customers feel good about their appearance. My entire world was crushed when our home was bombed on October 31st. I have lost my wife Israa, mother Manal, father Ziad, brother Youssef, and my baby daughter Aya. Aside from the emotional pain I deal with daily I’ve lost both of my legs and sustained injuries to my arm and eyes as well. I am now the sole provider for my only surviving child Maryam. She was badly injured and still recovering however needs further treatment not available in Gaza. I fully rely on my cousin Mohammed 19 who is now my caretaker helping me with the simplest tasks and navigate life in a wheel chair. My biggest fear right now is the hospital will receive evacuation notices and an IDF invasion will take place. We are scrambling trying to figure out how to survive another day. Money raised from this gofundme will go towards our daily survival with the end goal of exiting to Egypt for medical treatment.
