Él es Rafael Ordosgoitty, muchos lo conocen como “Kike” otros como “Rafa”. Hace más de 10 años perdió a su esposa quedando a cargo de sus dos hijos menores, quienes hoy disfrutan de un papá amoroso, responsable, ocurrente y motivador. Su buen humor y gran actitud hacia la vida fueron piezas claves para continuar. Es un ejemplo de resiliencia para todo el que lo conoce. Totalmente convencido de que las pruebas son para superarlas, volvió a renovar su vida familiar incluyendo a su nueva pareja quien ha sido soporte, ayuda y una compañera incondicional, logrando junto con sus hijos continuar recorriendo los sabores de la vida.
Sin embargo, en diciembre 2019 después de presentar una Tumoración en ganglio cervical izquierdo y luego de una intervención quirúrgica (Cervicotomía izquierda con extirpación de tumoración) la biopsia arrojó unos resultados que movieron el piso familiar; Kike fue diagnosticado con carcinoma metastásico, cuyo tumor primario se encuentra alojado en amígdala izquierda, lo cual amerita simultáneamente 3 ciclos de quimioterapias y 7 semanas de radioterapias. Además, posiblemente otra operación y estadía en la clínica.
Rafa radica en Venezuela y muchos conocen la situación por la que atraviesa el país. La familia y algunos amigos han contribuido en lo que está a su alcance pero los gastos para los tratamientos, exámenes, evaluaciones, consultas y la posible operación son muy elevados. Debido a que ha tenido que separarse temporalmente de su trabajo para enfrentar el cáncer, se hace cuesta arriba la cobertura de dichos gastos médicos y la manutención del núcleo familiar.
Para poder realizar su tratamiento necesitamos de tu apoyo, cualquier cantidad con la que puedan colaborar siempre será agradecida. Los buenos siempre somos más y juntos podemos como dice Kike: "Exterminar a esas células malignas que se equivocaron de cuerpo". Él siempre ha sido un luchador inagotable, lleno de carisma, humor y una pieza fundamental en nuestra familia, además, un ejemplo claro de que los malos momentos son pasajeros y el futuro siempre se tornará más brillante y colorido.

This is Rafael Ordosgoitty, or as we know him: “Kike” or “Rafa”. He lost his wife more than 10 years ago so he had to take care of his two minor children, who today enjoy a loving, responsible, humorous and motivating dad. His good humor and great attitude towards life were key pieces to keep going every year, every day. He is an example of resilience and strength for everyone. Totally convinced that he has to overcome every challenge puts in his way, he renewed his family life again including his new couple who has been a supportive, helpful and an unconditional companion, managing to continue tasting the flavors of life together with his children.
Yet life had another challenge to throw at him. In December 2019 after presenting a tumor in the left cervical ganglion and after a surgical intervention (left cervicotomy with tumor removal), the biopsy showed results that turned family life upside-down; Kike was diagnosed with metastatic carcinoma, whose primary tumor is housed in the left tonsil, which requires 3 cycles of chemotherapies and 7 weeks of radiotherapies simultaneously. In addition, it could implied another possibly operation and clinic entry.
Rafa lives in Venezuela and it is known the situation that the country is going through, especially the tragic health crisis. The family and some friends have contributed with the means within their reach but the expenses for the treatments, exams, evaluations, consultations and the possible operation are very high. He has had to cease his job to deal with cancer, and the coverage of such medical expenses and the maintenance of his family are uphill.
In order to carry out his treatment, we will need your support, and we’ll be grateful with any collaboration you are willing to give, the amount doesn’t matter.
