My name is James and I’m here to try and get money for my puppy Amber, the 6-month-old Norwegian Elkhound that got a broken tibia in 3 pieces right on New Year's Eve. What a way for her to go into the new year.

She never asked for this; she’s a sweet pup that wants nothing but love and to play in the snow, which she enjoyed for a short while here in New Jersey. But now, when it snows, she won’t be able to play in it.

There was hope where a splint might do the trick, but because the bone is in a couple of pieces, the ortho doctors are now saying surgery or just cut the leg off. So now here I am begging online for help from caring people to not let that be a reality for a puppy who’s not even a year old yet and just started her life. I’d like to have a chance at keeping her leg so she can play with her brother Slate, who I took in with her, as well as her big sisters Emerald and Jade.
