As a mother of a 15 year old, your biggest fear should be your daughter learning how to drive or boys among other things. For Amber though, those fears changed as she took her daughter, Maya to the doctor who then told her to take her to ER. It was later that Maya was diagnosed with B-cell Acute Lymphoblastic leukemia.

Amber works in the Compliance Department at Wave Express. Her knowledge and rapport with drivers is astounding and hard as coworkers work to fill in the many duties Amber has while she focuses on her daughter. During this time since Amaya has started chemo, Amber has been spending her days at the hospital, thus not working since December 9th. As many can imagine, Amber is beyond worry with her daughter's health while still trying to care for her home and bills plus spend as much time with her son, Aidyn who has been a trooper through all of this.  More so, the time off from work and the lack of money coming in while Amber focuses on her family especially Amaya has been very much on her mind.

Maya is still in the hospital and doing well as she does chemo. Even when she does come home, it will be a slow transition when Amber comes back to work. There will still be more treatments and doctor appointments as well as finding a routine so Amber has enough time with Aidyn and Amaya though. Any help anyone can give will be much appreciative. Funds will go to help supplement the income that has been lost and is expected to be lost. Any money left over will go towards Amaya's future education where Amaya dreams of going to school to become a teacher.
