My name is Amanda, and I am reaching out during one of the most difficult times in my life. After years in a toxic marriage, I am filing for divorce and working to create a safe, stable home for my two children—my 13-year-old son and 8-year-old daughter—and my elderly mother, who is recovering from foot surgery and living with us while she heals. Since my husband left for an out-of-state work assignment on July 5, he has not provided any financial support for our household, leaving me solely responsible for caring for my family, paying bills, and buying groceries. My mother receives Social Security and has selflessly put her own plans for an apartment on hold so we can support each other through this challenging time.

 The cost of my divorce is expected to be between $6,000 and $8,000, which is more than I can manage while supporting my family on my income alone. I am also deeply concerned for my children's mental health as they navigate this transition, and I would like to get them counseling to help them cope and heal. Any donation will help me provide for my children, care for my mother, support my children's emotional well-being, and move forward with the divorce process so we can begin rebuilding our lives.
