Hi, my name is Amanda and I’m reaching out with a humbled heart during an unexpected and incredibly difficult chapter in my life. I’m a mom to two beautiful daughters, and we are in urgent need of help to keep a roof over our heads and food on the table.

Recently, I found myself unexpectedly starting over—navigating life once again as a single mother. We do not qualify for any benefits while my ex is on our lease because his income is being taken into account, regardless of what he contributes.

This change came without warning and has left me solely responsible for a lease, utilities, groceries, and transportation costs that were originally meant to be shared. I want to be clear: I’m not here to place blame or throw anyone under the bus. But the reality is, I can no longer rely on a second income that was once part of the plan.

While I am working and doing my best every single day to stay afloat, the financial strain will become too much to carry on my own come July. I’m asking for help to secure the next three months of rent so that I can stabilize our living situation, continue working, and begin saving toward a more sustainable future for me and my girls.

Every dollar will go directly toward rent, National Fuel and National Grid bills, groceries, and transportation to work and school so I can keep my job and provide some sense of normalcy and safety for my daughters. At least for the time being.

This is not easy to ask. I take pride in working hard and doing everything I can to make it on my own—but I’ve reached a point where I know I will need to lean on my community. If you’re able to give, even a small amount, it would mean the world to us. And if you can’t, sharing this with others would be just as appreciated.
