Help Amanda D. fight breast cancer

Donation protected
This gofundme account is for Amanda DeGraff, started by her mom Tammy DeGraff and myself, Lisa (her "other mother"). Amanda is a wonderful outgoing 21-year-old single mom of a 20-month-old daughter who is starting her fight with metastatic breast cancer. Amanda has been diagnosed with Intrusive Ductal Carcinoma (HER-2/Neu positive score 3+ Ki-67 Proliferation Index 89% - 8/9). Not only does she have stage 4 metastatic breast cancer, but it has spread to her lymph nodes, joints, chest, neck, hips, both lungs, liver and back (that's right, practically her entire body). Amanda is a fighter and has a lot of support from friends and family but has a very long road ahead of her.

Amanda's treatment plan at this time will consist of 5 days of radiation to ease the back pain,  then chemo 1 time per week for 5 months, then she'll receive a double mastectomy, have radiation for another 6 weeks and after all is said and done, she'll remain on chemo for the remainder of her life.

Amanda decided to take her hair before cancer does! You rock that bald baby! You're beautiful with or without hair. :)

Amanda thankfully has insurance which will pay for nearly everything she needs medically, however she had to quit her job and has no money for daily living, feeding herself and her daughter, paying bills, paying daycare as needed when she's unable, etc. Due to the severity of her cancer, she is also having to modify certain things around her home such as air purifiers, keeping things sanitized daily, wearing masks when she goes anywhere, and when she's unable to walk (due to the cancer that is in her spine), she will need a wheelchair, ramp, and other changes to her home. Her mom also cut her work hours to practically nothing to be able to take take care of Amanda, take her to daily appointments and anywhere she needs to go as she doesn't drive. Amanda has been and continues to be positive even though she has been dealt a lousy hand in life. She has been in & out of hospitals throughout her childhood. In just the last 1 1/2 years she had her gallbladder removed as well as a deep tissue hemangioma removed from her calf.

Amanda hopes to let EVERYONE know breast cancer can affect anyone regardless of age or gender, and to always do self examinations. That is the only reason she caught hers.

We are asking for your help in alleviating the financial burden coming to Amanda during her fight through breast cancer. She is very well loved by family and friends and we all thank you for any support you can give.

Please share and spread the word of Amanda's story. Thank you so much!
