<div>Anyone who knows Alyssa knows she is a force of nature. She is the kind of friend who loves fiercely and the kind of leader who builds community wherever she goes, making the cycling world a safer, more inclusive place for everyone lucky enough to be in her orbit. Alyssa pours her entire heart into supporting us on a daily basis. Now, it’s our turn to carry her.

<div>On the morning of July 2nd, she was pushing her mind and body to the absolute limit in the final stretch of the Tour Divide, riding beautifully and holding an insane second place among the women, days after winning the notoriously grueling Grand Loop. Alyssa was about to complete a first for both men and women: The Grand /Tour. But within 60 miles of the finish line of the Tour Divide, the unthinkable happened. At 4:30 AM, Alyssa was struck by a car going somewhere between 50 and 60 mph.

</div>
<div>The crash has left her with severe injuries: (as of 6 pm on 07/02) 8 fractured vertebrae, 6 cracked ribs, a broken arm, internal bleeding, a brain bleed, lacerations to the kidney, spleen and liver, and a completely destroyed bike. She was airlifted from New Mexico to El Paso, Texas, where she is currently receiving emergency care.

<div>While we are endlessly grateful that Alyssa is in good care, her life has been completely upended in an instant. The road to recovery ahead of her is going to be long and incredibly challenging.

</div>
<div>Beyond the physical pain, Alyssa is now facing astronomical medical bills. To make things heavier, she lost her bike, which wasn’t just gear to her.. it was her trusted companion on some of the most gratitude fueled moments of her life. She had just built her dream bike, only for it to get destroyed.

</div>
<div>We want to wrap Alyssa in love and eliminate the crushing financial stress of this accident so she can focus entirely on what matters most: healing. With your support, we can help cover her medical expenses and eventually replace her bike, reminding her of the community that has her back and the joy that is waiting for her return.

<div>Please join us in lifting Alyssa up during her darkest hour. Every single donation, no matter the size, is a powerful reminder to Alyssa that she is not riding this next difficult chapter alone. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for helping our friend heal, rebuild, and eventually, get back on the bike.
