<div>Over the past few months I’ve been working with vets to figure out what was going on after finding a mass on my precious baby Corndog’s leg. <strong>Long story short, it’s aggressive </strong><a href="https://hospital.cvm.ncsu.edu/services/small-animals/cancer-oncology/oncology/feline-injection-site-sarcoma/#:~:text=In%2525252520general%252525252C%2525252520these%2525252520are%2525252520difficult,a%2525252520board%252525252Dcertified%2525252520veterinary%2525252520surgeon." target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"><strong>injection-site fibrosarcoma</strong></a> <strong> and I paid almost $5000 just to find out my kitty was gonna be here for a good time not a long time and just found out insurance won’t cover any of it :(</strong>

<div>After talking with a surgeon, they said the ideal treatment is aggressive leg amputation followed with radiation, which could give him an extra 1-5 years…but radiation is only available at WSU in Pullman and would be every day for a period of time and likely would not be curative due to how fast his cancer cells are reproducing. With only surgery the tumor would come back as soon as a few months.

<div>This has been one of the saddest hardest decisions I’ve ever had to make, but I don’t want him to suffer his way through just because I’m not ready to let him go. <strong>I don’t think I’ll ever be ready or can even imagine being without him, but both the vet and I agreed that not doing surgery and radiation is the kindest path with the least amount of trauma and suffering for Corndog.</strong>

<div>I'm hoping to raise some funds to help me reduce the debt I've gone in to cover his vet bills for diagnosis and end of life care (vet visits and in-home euthanasia).

<div>Corndog is the sweetest extra-toed goob of a cat you’ll ever meet and I want to give him the best life I can. This year has already been extremely hard financially before any of this even started and am struggling to keep up with all of the minimum payments and afford daily life. I’d love to spend the time I have with him not extremely stressed and worried about paying for everything I need to keep him comfortable until he says it’s his time.
