My name is Alwani. I am 28 years old. Born in in Mwanza, Tanzania. Both parents were killed in a car accident when I was 12 which I survived. I was placed in an Ismaili foster home. At six I carved an Ox face from an avocado pit with a pocket knife. By 17 I was a Nurse trainee. I am now an artist using clay, painting, drawing and sculpting. My project at the Alberta University of the Arts has been on synthesizing and understanding Quantum Theory and applying it to our daily life to give us room to better live in a coherent world-it explains how we and all things are related to each other hopefully leading to a more peaceful and caring world. I worked with Charles Lewton-Brain on the AUarts Mace and assisted in other projects, I have studied at Alberta University of the Arts and have one more semester to go to graduate with a BFA degree.
