<div>I’m writing with a heavy heart. My name is Allen, and I’m currently in my first semester at BYU-Hawaii. Unfortunately, as we welcome this new year, things have taken an unexpected and devastating turn. My mother, who is in the ICU in Philippines, is critically ill, with a severe brain infection. Unfortunately, her condition is irreversible, and doctors have told us that there is nothing more they can do. Her time is limited, and I need to be by her side during these final days. But the cost of an emergency flight, and hospital expenses are more than I can manage on my own right now.
