<div>If you know Alicia MacDonald, you know she’s a fighter. Tiny but mighty, she started out fighting when she was diagnosed with cancer as an infant and spent the first few years of her life in and out of the hospital for treatment.

<div>Despite starting her young life under such awful circumstances, Alicia grew to be an amazing woman. She is the first person to lend an ear to someone struggling, and the first person to help someone in need. You won’t find a more loyal friend than Alicia.
</div>

</div>
<div>After trying for many years, Alicia and her husband Chris were finally able to conceive their miracle baby, Reese. Unfortunately, when Reese was just 2 years old in November 2023, <strong>Alicia was diagnosed with breast cancer.</strong>
</div>

</div>
<div>After over a year of grueling treatment, including chemotherapy, radiation, immunotherapy, blood and platelet transfusions, and a double mastectomy (all while trying to work and raise an active toddler), Alicia was declared cancer-free in February 2025.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Unfortunately, despite being rid of the breast cancer, the side effects of treatment have continued. Alicia has struggled with several complications due to her treatment, including a post-mastectomy surgical infection, another infection resulting in a lengthy hospital stay, a small bowel obstruction requiring surgery and hospitalization at Mass General, and now is suffering continued complications from immunotherapy and radiation, requiring physical therapy and several medications to manage her symptoms. On top of all of this, Alicia is still facing at least 2 additional reconstructive surgeries in the near future.

<div>As you can imagine, after enduring all of this, <strong>Alicia is now faced with several thousand dollars of debt from medical bills, with more to come due to the additional surgeries required.</strong> Despite having insurance, the payments are still crippling.
</div>

</div>
<div>Alicia is a proud person, but being able to reduce her stress over medical bills would be a huge relief so she can focus on what matters most- healing and being there to raise the light of her life, Reese.
</div>

</div>
<div>All funds donated will go to paying medical bills from treatment and paying her expected bills for her upcoming surgeries.
</div>
