The surgery was successful, and Mom and Dad (Anne Bonner and Jeremiah Peck) have been at her side 24/7 at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital in San Francisco.

<div>The future will bring weeks to months of in-patient rehabilitation as Alice relearns everything from swallowing to walking. She'll spend 7 weeks in San Diego undergoing advanced proton radiation therapy and chemotherapy. <strong>As Anne and Jeremiah are both hourly earners, this will take a huge toll, as will travel and other expenses.</strong> Her medical team are very optimistic about her recovery - but as they say, this is a marathon, not a sprint.
