Help Ali from Venezuela battle Park

This is a fundraiser to help improve the live conditions of my uncle  Ali Fuentes who is in Venezuela battleting Parkinson.

Ali  was diagnosed with Parkinson desease in the year 2004.  In the last 14 years his health has been badly affected not only because of the symptoms of the disease, like depression, anxiety, lost of appetite and weight, he lost 44 pounds in the last 6 years. His motor system has been affected, 70% of the day his body is completely rigid making it impossible for him to move. While being unable to move he can’t talk, communicate or eat. Luckily Ali counts with the love and support of his son and his wife More, but they are also being drastically affected too. More had a retinal detachment and is suffering now from severe cervicalgia.

For his treatment Ali takes the following drugs: Sinemet 25/250 mg (for Parkinson), Olanzapina (to help him sleep).  He also requires the permanently use of diapers and bed underpads.

With your help Ali could have a better life. Not only he will be able to buy his medicines, which can’t be found in Venezuela, and his family needs to request them from abroad, paying high prices that they are unable to cover. He could also get the help of a special therapist that would help him move to avoid the atrophy of his body.

We hope to raise $5000 to cover his medicines and therapist expenses for the following two years, hoping that some changes in the politics of Venezuela will occur and Ali’s family will be able to afford his treatment locally again.
