Help Alfred Leal Fight Stage 4 Kidney Failure

Hi, my name is Sonja Leal, and I’m reaching out on behalf of my brother-in-law, Alfred Leal, who has been diagnosed with Stage 4 kidney failure.

This diagnosis has been devastating for our entire family. Alfred is now facing major life changes — frequent hospital visits, specialist appointments, medication, and the looming daily need for dialysis and hopefully a transplant. This journey is not just emotionally and physically draining, but it’s also financially overwhelming.

What We’re Facing

Stage 4 kidney failure is a serious and life-threatening condition. With kidney function severely reduced, he is dealing with:

Constant fatigue, pain, and weakness

Special dietary needs

Expensive medications

Ongoing lab work and doctor visits

Dialysis treatment daily

Lost income due to inability to work, and his wife Zoyla is working out of state to help contribute financially, but as a result, she cannot be with him as she is working. He is currently at home with his children helping as they can.

The financial burden has become too heavy for our family to carry alone. We’re doing everything we can, but medical expenses and basic living costs are quickly piling up.
