Help Alexis&Ian Host Asylum Seekers

This summer we learned of the opportunity to sponsor asylum seekers fleeing violence in Central America through Hand in Hand: The Domestic Employers Network and Sanctuary Homes.

We responded to this opportunity and will be hosting two transgender women, Valeria and Cristal, in our home. We expect and hope that they will arrive in the next week from the detention center where they have been held since May, 2018.

Our family is able to provide a home but we are asking for your help to cover Valeria and Cristal's additional expenses, such as clothing, transit costs, cell phone service, legal and medical expenses.  Our goal is to raise $6,000 to help cover six months of those expenses, any needed dental work and work permits. 

Your donations will directly support these two women as they adjust to their new lives in our community. We are so grateful for all the love and support that people have already shared as we prepare to welcome these women.
