Help Alexander heal, improve and grow

Alexander Goodwin has a passion for life, nature, wild animals and conservation.  An ambassador for kindness and humanity he inspires hope and positivity for all those who know him.  It has been four years since Alex had life saving pioneering surgery and specialist radiation treatment in the United States.  In November 2015 he fell ill and was misdiagnosed for 6 months by the NHS in the U.K. who then after identifying that he had a rare bone and soft tissue cancer stated that he could not be saved.  The family exhausted themselves financially and with the kindness and generosity of strangers hundreds of thousands of dollars/pounds were raised to send him to Kansas City in the heart of the midwest of U.S.A.  Alex lived in the U.S. for over eight months and then began the second battle of being alive but needing to walk again. 

Alex was confined to a wheelchair and unable to pursue his passion for Rugby and Swimming.

Alex is out of a wheelchair now but endures brutal and radical physical therapy so that one day he will walk again.  He also deals with terrible  PTSD and has psychotherapy and counselling.  All of which is paid for privately.

This Go Fund me Account has been set up to try and ensure the family has funds to pay for his treatment and provide him with a secure home environment which he desperately needs to grow and heal  and maximise his chances of a full life.   We had to raise the amount from £25,000 to £30,000 because we have been recommended that Alex undertake a few other procedures whilst we are in Kansas City.  Sadly we were pledged £5,000 from a "well-wisher" purporting to be from the Rotary Club in Brighton who it was later discovered was a fake and no such pledge had been made by the organisation.
