Help Alexandra with her legal fees!

Hello!

My name is Sheila and I am Alexandra Stewarts best friend for over 35 years. I am starting this go fund me campaign to raise the funds required for Alexandra’s legal team to fight her battle to keep her small business open in North Bay, ON.

Alexandra is running the business her parents began in the 1970’s. She is now in a position, like many others, where she’s being told her business is not essential and she should have closed her doors to customers and clients months ago.

Alexandras business supports many contractors, builders, landlords and the general public for products such as paint, flooring, wood finishing products, mould remediation products, schluter products, furniture, lighting, window treatments and home decor.

Her parents built this business from the ground up and The Stewart’s small business has been a part of our community for decades. This business has supported their family and contributed to the community even through years of trials, hardships and successes.

She will not let her late father Paul, or her mother Joanne see the business they sacrificed everything for, falter because of being deemed non essential by our provincial government. As many business owners know, small businesses have a hard enough time during good times, and now appear to be regarded as an even bigger underdog to the big box stores.

We have big box stores in our small northern ontario town that can accommodate hundreds of patrons a day, allowed to remain open, yet we have lost many small businesses due to forced closure.

These are real people. Families whose very livelihoods and futures depend on their small business.
