We are a small, independent school in the heart of West Berkshire, full of life, joy and children who are thriving. We offer a choice for families looking for an alternative style of education, that places the child at its very heart. Our ethos is to educate children in a way that makes the learning process, not just the result, the focus. This gives children time to be curious, space to explore new ideas and a chance to build self-esteem. Each child's uniqueness is celebrated, and their own journey is supported so that they feel confident about their future in further educational settings and workplaces. We aim for all Alder Bridge pupils to receive the most valuable gift of all, which is a lifelong love of learning.

 

Like many others in recent times, we have been faced with unprecedented challenges.

 

Losing students due to income loss in Covid-19, keeping abreast of necessary requirements and maintaining our Heritage buildings and grounds, have meant that we find ourselves now in more challenging times than ever. With your help, we will grow our school, build better facilities and most importantly, enable many more children to access Steiner education at Alder Bridge Steiner-Waldorf School through creating a bursary fund.

 

Our minimum goal is £160,000, which will be used responsibly, respectfully and with immense care. Alongside this financial input, we are making fundamental changes to the school to ensure that every area remains stable and of the highest standard. Your investment means so much more to us than the sum of its worth, rather it will be the building blocks for the future of Alder Bridge Steiner-Waldorf School.
