Many of you know and love Alania Stewart Hicks! She is a loyal mother, wife, daughter, sister, auntie, cousin, friend, and most importantly a woman of faith! After exams, mammogram, biopsy, and MRI, Alania learned from her doctor that she has Stage 2 Breast Cancer that is also in 1 of her lymph nodes. As a healthy vibrant woman, this news came as a shock, and she and her family is still processing this information.
In May of this year, Alania married the man of her dreams, Cecil. They are still in their honeymoon phase! Coupled with the love and support of their family and friends they are starting yet another journey. They are ready to fight this disease with all the power and strength that God provides. We know that God is a healer and a way maker.
We are reaching out on behalf of the Hicks family and seek your prayers for her expedient healing and any monetary donation you can give to help Alania and her family get through this challenging journey. All funds will go directly to help with medical costs, medical necessities, and any future needs her and her family may have as she undergoes treatment. Alania has always helped and supported others. Now we have an opportunity to help and support her! We want the newlyweds to focus on staying healthy, positive, prayerful, and determined.
The journey began today. Alania's first chemo treatment will be this week with seven more to go over the course of 4 months before she has surgery. Again, thank you in advance for helping to offer some light and love during this journey!
