Help Alan get started after the fire

Some of you recommended Alan to start a fund/giving page. Alan does neither has the energy nor the time to do it himself, so he asked me to help him. I'm Carla a friend from the Netherlands
We all want to help him, with a place to sleep, food, cloths, practical help or financially. And from now we can help him with fundraising too, by sharing this fundraising page on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and email. Let’s join forces and help him to get started again. He will need money to survive at least the next year. He lost everything, and his source of income (rental guests). If we together raise €10.000 (to start with, we can increase the target whenever we want to), we can help him to buy food, clothing, first supplies and make him start with small repairs. We know what disaster has hit him last Wednesday (June 26th). Let me explain what happened to him, to all our friends we sent this funding request to (after we donated first ;-).
To our friends (and in that way an extended friend of Alan):
Our friend Alan Holt lives in Spain. He managed to build a really lovely place, with a wooden house (cabin), olive trees, a guest house (to earn a living) and solar panels. His dream was to live a modest life, self-supporting, off the grid. He called it the “Good Life Farm.”
Last Wednesday a wildfire went out of control and burned a devastating more then 5000 hectares of nature and properties. Around 80 ground teams, seven air units, military units and water bomber airplanes joint forces to control the blaze.
Alan lives in the middle of the affected area. That morning he left home, leaving his three beloved dogs behind in the house. When he noticed there was something wrong, roads were already blocked, and he was not allowed to go back to get them. He lived in fear, hoping they would be able to flee from the flames. Yesterday (Friday June 28th) he was allowed to go home, the video shows the damage and his despair. It needs a miracle to find the dogs alive. Besides that big loss, the cabin has totally burned down. He posted on Facebook: “The wooden cabin where I lived, where the dogs were, where everything ‘personal’ and valuable was kept, has burned to the ground…”. Days after this post Alan shared that he found the bones of his burned dogs in the ashes.
This fundraising is meant to support Alan through the first year. It is not possible to rebuild the house with our donations. Our goal is enough money for him just to live, to get him his most necessary things. To give him some slack to sort out ‘his life after the big fire”.
