Hi everyone,

I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for help for our sweet dog, Akamaru, a playful and loving 2-year-old goldendoodle who means the world to us.

A few weeks ago, a foxtail became embedded in his paw, and unfortunately, it’s caused a painful and persistent injury. The area has become severely inflamed, and after multiple visits to the vet, we were told that he needs surgery to remove both the foxtail and the damaged tissue around it. Without it, his paw won’t heal properly, and he’ll remain in pain.

Akamaru hasn’t been himself for the past three weeks. He’s been limping, unable to enjoy the things he loves most — like playing with his toys, zooming around the dog park, and socializing with his furry friends. It’s heartbreaking to see such a happy soul so subdued and uncomfortable.

The estimate for his surgery is $1,350, not including potential follow-ups and medication. I’m doing everything I can to get him the care he needs, and I’ve created this GoFundMe to humbly ask for help in covering his medical costs. Akamaru is not just a pet — he’s family. He brings so much joy, comfort, and unconditional love. All I want is to get him back to his silly, tail-wagging self again.
