We need your help!  You feel embarrassed to ask but have no where to turn! Aimee’s therapist suggested this and you can see we’ve struggled since January 13th and exhausted all our resources first before asking for a helping hand Every DOLLAR helps and adds up!
We also have PayPal that you could send family/friends method if you choose...TO: [email redacted] OR Venmo
***They say fees are different and we receive 100% of the donation! ~Aimee
We are in dire straights! You never realize how bad it can get emotionally, financially and physically until it happens to you! Daily we stress and worry which turns into physical symptoms of tension headaches, stomach aches, diarrhea, etc. It’s when you have NO control that it really sucks!!
You hope it’s going to get better but you don’t know when that will happen☹️

What all happened is we went on a trip and came home to a freezing cold home; frozen, iced over boiler; broken baseboards throughout our house; hot water tank shot and water damage all over☹️ Our kitchen sink exploded causing a fountain of water everywhere and an icy skating rink as our floor.  Mind you it had been up to -35 below temperatures! That night we went to a local hotel and that was on January 13th. We have insurance so we thought we’d be okay and it would be a quick fix that could be further from the truth we learned and the nightmare only continued...

We’ve been dealing with the Insurance Company; however our Adjuster was out of town and we became just another stack of papers on his desk to go thru among others upon his return!  We would call frequently begging for something to happen! No one else could help us so we pooled our savings and drained every penny into hotel expenses, necessities and food costs plus we still have normal bills to cover. Just because you can’t live there doesn’t mean your mortgage and utilities stop.

We also learned possessions and important things are ruined and insurance doesn’t cover them! It’s frustrating and heartbreaking. Insurance won’t even cover our Hotel Stay just fixtures of the house. So we are at a loss all our savings are quickly going over the 2+month ordeal. We are just another file case on their desk. Not a lot of compassion! We’ve had the rug pulled out from under us☹️.

We’ve been lucky enough to share with a close friend that’s been a godsend to us! Shes brought us home cooked meals...you miss the little things! Things you took for granted❤️. Having a home cooked meal or homemade cookies is like having the world. Take out is costly and microwave food is not homemade! You miss your kitchen...you miss a lot! Four walls of a hotel room wear on you and we’re all a bit depressed

Next the insurance company had a Heating and Plumbing Company come to assess all the damages...they were extensive and covered every room in our home.  The adjuster comes in finally and sees all the damage and he too puts in a report.  He then requests Terra get a detailed invoice from the Heating Company and we wait...day after day!  Finally we hear something and the insurance company now wants a second opinion from an out of town Company to compare rates.  They are called, but due to the snowstorms had to reschedule three times.  Meanwhile we are calling daily, emailing to get this process going...we are running out of money fast☹️ Day after day, week after week; it keeps adding up because the days are turning into months!  You don’t realize until you are put into the situation...how expensive it is to live out of a hotel...eat out every meal or buy food that you can only cook in the microwave.  It is draining, not only financially, but emotionally too!

During this time Mary had a horrible fall on parking lot ice and severely broke her humerus bone and rotators cuff...along with damage to her head, backside, hand, wrist, elbow & shoulder.  She fell and slammed her entire body on the pavement.  Mary is in agonizing pain and has to wait 12 days with her condition before surgery! She slams her elbow requiring a staple and major reconstructive arm & shoulder surgery in February! Medical, Hotel stays near the hospital and travel to Burlington, VT two hours from home is costly. Mary required hospitalization and several post op follow up appointments.  We continue to go to Burlington.  We have to go back and forth to Burlington every few weeks which is costly!  They put a cadaver fibula in her humerus bone to try and strengthen it, along with plates, screws and cadaver skin.  Mary continues to be in horrible pain and has a long road to recovery!!  The pain is extensive, but the stress from all of this also doesn’t help. Seeing a grown woman go thru all this and cry is hard to take

Terra has a fractured foot with cystic masses that need surgery and 6 weeks off her feet.  She is in constant pain with every step!  However postpones surgery to help Mary & Aimee. She is the main caregiver as Aimee is dealing with horrible headaches & further symptoms caused by her Brain tumors.  Her broken ankle continues to cause problems and as a result she acquired Complex Regional Pain Disorder.  That causes constant pain requiring continued pain management around the clock. Her anxiety and depression continues to plague her daily.  The stress of having to live in a hotel and worry about this whole situation really affects Aimee daily as she feels like her life is in a tailspin, one that she has no way out of.

So we are dealing with an extremely stressful, painful and emotional time!  We are embarrassed that we have to reach out for help and have kept much of this disaster to ourselves!  It’s a constant worry, stress and not knowing day to day!!
The latested we were told from the insurance company is that we should hear this week as to when they might start work on our house.  The work will take several weeks to replace everything including baseboards on 3 stories, furnace, floors and more.  We have a long road ahead still.
We are literally on our last leg, we scraped together the $75.00 it costs to stay here every night to pay 2 more nights at the Econo Lodge today, Sunday March 25th.  Then took the courage to write this as we could no longer suffer in silence and like our volunteering at Soup Kitchen we now need a helping hand!! As of Tuesday we could be out on the streets!

Being real I have no idea what’s going to come next. Any help is greatly appreciated and we’d pay it forward in the future for sure!! We’ve always tried to help others when we can! Knowing every dollar helps❤️
