Help aid J.T. After he was tragically hit by a drunk driver

Joseph Torres-Bellew (J.T.) was recently involved in a devastating motorcycle accident caused by a drunk driver. He has been a dedicated member of the IBEW for over 30 years and a respected Jiu-Jitsu Professor. This unexpected tragedy has drastically changed his life. We are reaching out to you for support during this incredibly challenging time.

J.T. suffered serious injuries, including three broken parts of his spine, a shattered collarbone, and fractures/breaks in his scapula, thumbs, ankle, and toes. All the ribs on his right side were broken, and his lung collapsed. His legs took much of the impact, with his left leg severely mangled, hanging on only by skin. The ligaments and tendons in his right leg are all torn. He’s already had multiple surgeries since the 16th, and we’re hopeful that the upcoming surgeries will be successful.

J.T. has always been the embodiment of hard work, dedicating his career to ensuring the safety and well-being of those around him. Now, he faces mountains of medical bills, rehabilitation costs, and a long recovery journey, which will put a significant financial strain on him and his family.
