Hi l'm Afton Thomas,
 I was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. By the age of five years old I was in a battle with cancer and went into remission by age six. I've been in the workforce since age fourteen but in January of 2023 I had to explain to my employer that I was battling cancer for the second time in my life. Being a survivor taught me to appreciate everything in life. But I never expected to be forced to leave my job due to bad health.
During this time, I was excited about my only child graduating from esthetician school. This was a great feeling because l'm a proud single mom. For years l've been saving money just to help her.
 But now I need help. I have stage 4 uterine cancer. My treatment protocol is for approximately 25 rounds of chemotherapy plus inner and outer radiation at a rate of about $700 per treatment. My doctor will NOT begin treatment without a $7,000 down payment. Survival is not cheap. However, you can help.
