Help Afeez get to the University of New Haven
Donation protected
Afeez has always wanted to be a scientist researching innovative approaches to harness and develop Africa’s vast resources while protecting the community from pollutants, including heavy metals. He is a step closer to this dream as he was offered the prestigious and competitive University of New Haven Deans scholarships, which cover 40% of his tuition fees. However, he is unable to pay the remaining 60% of the tuition fees ($USD 5508) for the first semester, making it difficult to achieve his dream. The semester will start on 23rd August 2022, and Afeez urgently requires your financial assistance.
Completing a master’s degree in chemistry at the University of New Haven means more than just a degree for Afeez. It is a major step toward fulfilling his longstanding aspiration and guaranteeing a better future for himself, his ageing single mum and his community.
Afeez has always had the interest of his community at heart. For example, following his undergraduate degree program in Industrial Chemistry at the Olabisi Onabanjo University, he volunteered to teach Chemistry at Community High School in Ikorodu without collecting any salary. While at this school, he initiated research to use maize marrow to extract heavy metal (Cadmium) from the community. This reflects how he treasured helping others and his community. I pray and hope we can support him at this challenging time.
Studying at the University of New Haven will be a life-changing opportunity for Afeez, and I urge you to help make this dream a reality. He’s already secured his visa; all he requires is support with the first semester to get him started with school. This stage is critical, and I urge you to support his dream of attending the University of New Haven in August 2022.
Many thanks for your support and donations.
