Hello, my name is Adrianna. I'm 22 years old and the mother of my beautiful 3-year-old daughter, Teagan. I recently got in a really bad car accident on the 19th from losing control on a patch of black ice and got a few injuries. Thankfully, I'm alive and finally home from the hospital, still in large amounts of pain but alive! Unfortunately, my car was totaled. It was on fire, smashed on all sides, and the battery exploded on impact—a whole shabang. I am so happy I was the only one in the car! Also, no other people were injured!
But due to this, I have no car, no way to work, and I'm going to lose my job that I also love. My daughter's father also has no car or job, so I really couldn't afford for all this to happen. And of course, there's almost nothing within walking distance where I live, and I won't be walking far anytime soon. We have no savings; we were already struggling to get by. I usually would never do these kinds of things or ask for help like this, but aside from needing a new (used) car to get to work and places we need to get, I don't know how long I'm going to be stuck home without a job. We have other bills and things I and our daughter are going to need in the meantime. If I wait for taxes, that's still a while to wait, and I needed that for an apartment. I've been staying with friends and family for a while, and I was so excited about finally being able to go and get a place of our own. Finally, not be held back, and this happened. I worked so hard to buy my first car I was so excited and proud of myself but back to square one with nothing, and it breaks my heart. Even $1 helps; anything I will be so grateful for.
