Help Continue Adoley's Transformational Work

Donation protected
Dear Friends,

I leave the tribute to our beloved Adoley below for future reference and reflection.  I have transformed this donation page from support for our medical bills, that you donated to so generously, to support for Ghanaian Mother's Hope, Adoley's charity that will be receiving her library and clothing.  That work is done for the moment, her belongings are packed and waiting to be shipped to the children of her beloved home country of Ghana.

I am now changing this page once again to support the continuation of Adoley's life work as a spiritual life coach.  I am in the process of reactivating our company, renamed from HEALTHIER LIVING to THE WELLNESS REVOLUTION, and reconstituting Adoley's unique programs such as SOULSPACE, a de-cluttering program, and THE EASY WAY, a mindfulness program as well as others.   I am also engaged in completing her autobiography entitled SANKOFA, which means "Returning home" in her native Ga language.

Finding a replacement for Adoley as the driving force and host of these programs is nearly impossible, as you can imagine.  I have done all I can and find that it requires much more time, money and expertise than I can manage to have her programs properly updated, promoted and provided to the public.  So again I turn to you, Adoley's friends, colleagues and supporters to sustain Adoley's unique and powerful life's work.  Together we can continue and expand her legacy of peace, gratitude and love.

Thank you,

Jim

---------------- Previous Dedication and Tribute--------------

Dear Friends,

I am sorry to say that in spite of hopeful progress recently, our beloved Adoley has passed away, peacefully and unafraid at 6:10 PM eastern time on July 16, 2018.  I was by her side continuously for the previous 2 days and nights.  When I saw she had stopped breathing, I put my hand over her heart.  A smile flashed across her face and a tear ran from her right eye.

Recently, she had let me know, definitively, that she didn't want to fight anymore.  After almost 2 years of nearly constant pain and debilitation it was clear to her that her time had come in spite of all our valiant efforts and her inspiring strength and courage.  I must admit I was stubborn in my belief until the very last moments that God would spare her life.  And so, I did not allow any discussion of letting go or giving up in her presence until I heard it directly from her.  For those whom I offended by this, forgive my occasional sharpness.  I was fighting to protect and encourage Adoley and I make no apologies for that.

Once I did hear Adoley's final wishes directly, close friends gathered around her to ease her mind and calm her heart. They sang songs from her childhood in Ghana to her.  They prayed in the name of Jesus Christ over her with the 23rd and 91st psalms, and the Lord's Prayer.  They did a wonderful job preparing her with inexhaustible love and caring.  Thank you to them and to all of you who were not able to be there but have known and shared Adoley's incredible capacity for love.

She cherished your comments here and was looking forward to replying to you personally.  She was my morning sun, my north, my south, my east, my west.  She will always be the love of my life.  She was a shining presence for all those who felt her gentle soul, her beaming smile and graceful beauty.  We are better, gentler, kinder and wiser for having known her.  When my time comes, I will find her and we will be together again.  Her beautiful family and life-long friends have supported Adoley and me devotedly since the beginning of this ordeal.  I thank them with all the love I have.

Adoley and I thank all of you who have been so generous and loving with your financial support and kind comments.  I will leave this campaign open until our goal of $50,000 is reached but now it is for the Adoley Odunton Proser Scholarship Fund in support of needy schoolchildren in her home country of Ghana.  This scholarship is administered by the non-profit Ghanaian Mother's Hope organization led by dear friend Deborah Frock who sang beautifully for Adoley and is now in Ghana teaching and loving the neediest children.

I hope you will continue to contribute generously here to continue Adoley's legacy of education, mentorship and love . I will write here in the future and include moments of Adoley's life and work for you as keepsakes.  Please enjoy the attached photo of Adoley and I in Ghana after our marriage there.  Her fearless smile is the greatest gift I will ever have.

Love always,

Jim
