<div>During the height of the Covid-19 pandemic, many musical institutions suffered greatly. A large number of independent labels were financially forced to sell their musical catalogs to larger labels or music conglomerates who were able to weather, and even thrive during this time of uncertainty. The label we released part one of The Idyll Opus through was one such label... While this is a complex tale in its own right, suffice it to say that this has caused a major dilemma for Adjy in producing and releasing the second half of The Idyll Opus. To circumvent this, we are exploring something a bit outside of our usual relationship with the internet.

<div>Alchemists throughout the ages have been tasked with discovering the secret of turning lead into gold by all manner of noblemen, kings, queens, and anyone interested in monetarily aiding in their Great Work. While our “lead” is far from the mundane, physical element traditionally transmuted, our task nonetheless remains the same: We are asking our loyal fans, friends, and family to nickel and dime what the label would have provided to help produce the second half of the Idyll Opus. This has many benefits and would essentially produce all of the pros working with a label would provide (i.e. studio time, cost of living, PR, etc.), with none of the cons. However, the most prominent benefit is completing this story we’ve all started together.
