<div>Ramón's deportation also meant the loss of the family's primary source of income. Before he was taken, they had managed to pay April's rent, and extended family members helped cover June's rent as best they could. Adelaida cleans houses when she can, but the work is inconsistent and the pay is not enough to support the family.

<div>Since his father was detained, 16-year-old César has taken a part-time job at a restaurant to help pay the bills. He plans to continue working even after school starts. Despite these difficult circumstances, César, Donato, and Elba are all hardworking students who are doing their best to keep moving forward.

Adelaida limpia casas cuando puede, pero el trabajo es irregular y el sueldo no basta para mantener a la familia.
