Help Adam Schwankl Beat Cancer

Two months ago, Adam was re-diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.

You probably didn’t know he had cancer the first time around. Adam didn’t want to make it into a big deal --just quickly beat cancer and continue life like nothing happened.

But this time Adam can’t beat cancer without you.

At 28 years old, Adam was physically active and healthy. He was newly married, running his own small business, and pursuing his passion for painting.

When he noticed a small lump on his left collar bone, both he and his doctor thought it was from a recent snowboarding fall.

But then came sharp chest pains, night sweats, extreme fatigue, and significant weight loss. And … more, larger lumps.

Adam was diagnosed with Stage 2 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. A PET scan revealed large growths around his heart, under both arms, and by his collar bone.

Immediately, Adam overhauled his already-healthy diet & lifestyle and researched his options for cancer treatment.

The dietary & lifestyle changes made a difference (actually stalling the progression of the cancer!) but Adam still required chemotherapy.

Adam spent 3 months at An Oasis of Healing (AOH) in Mesa, AZ -- an Integrative Oncology Clinic that has great success treating Hodgkin’s Lymphoma with a mix of conventional and alternative medicine.

39964892_1560635688650774_r.jpegThough the days of intensive treatments were long, Adam progressed well. He had an amazing care team, love and support from his wife, family, and friends, and a strong determination in his own heart to heal.

Just after his 30th birthday (still at the treatment center), Adam received a clean bill of health! His doctor said he had never seen a radiology report so clean.

Adam returned home to Bozeman, to work, to regular life … to lots of stress.

His healthshare stopped paying for his treatments, credit cards were maxed out, and he & Valerie were paying through the nose on ongoing medical bills.

He felt forced to work long hours … and just 6 months after kicking cancer, it was back.

Because of changed policies, Adam’s healthshare will be covering only part of this next treatment. Meanwhile, his and Valerie’s family have already financially supported them as much as possible.

Compounded expenses and more time not working due to cancer treatments means more bills but even less income. In fact, this time, Adam must go to Oasis alone so that Valerie can stay home in Montana and keep working.

The weight of the worry over his health journey and finances is overwhelming:

“I am at a point where I am humbled enough to ask for your prayers and monetary support as we face what we believe will be the final blow to my cancer.

I am confident that my body is healing and I will be completely cancer-free someday. I am giving all that I personally have. But I am asking for your help in my time of need.

I am thankful for your prayers and any amount of money you are able to share to aid my healing. THANK YOU, in advance, from the bottom of my heart and God bless.”

Adam and Valerie face a lot of challenges ahead. Please help Adam BEAT CANCER FOR GOOD!

Your support will go toward previous medical bills, upcoming treatments, and healthy meals to nourish him as his body heals.

Every prayer, every dollar, every gesture of support is greatly appreciated.
