<div>Hi my name is Link, im based in Vancouver, British Columbia and I am organizing this fundraiser on behalf of a friend of mine based in Lagos, Nigeria.

<div>I am leaving her name out of the campaign by her request for personal safety but this is some information on her story.

<div>For the purpose of the story and per her request I will refer to her as Elizabeth.
</div>

<div>In the past few months since the start of an accelerated genocide against the Palestinian people, Elizabeth has shown her solidarity like many other folks around the world by choosing to divest from Coca cola products in her store front. For this reason and for stating her support for the Palestinian cause she was kicked out of her home on January 23rd, 2024 by her housemate.

<div>Without getting into too much legal details her lease was only in her housemates name and although she split the rent with this person, there is very little legal recourse for her in this situation. She has been sleeping in her workplace since her eviction where she doesnt have access to heating or air conditioning. The house mate even tried to tell the store owner not to support her.

<div>She has requested for community assistance and we want to raise funds for housing accommodations as well as basic appliances for said accommodation.

<div>The way this will work is we are running this fundraiser based in Canada, and I will receive the money and transfer it through a western union agent (allows international exchanges) based on my past experiences I may need to send the money in parts but will update the campaign on every transfer and get proof of the purchases.

<div>I understand there are many campaigns ongoing as a result of the Gaza genocide and there are some folks in more dire need of funds, but no amount is too small for this campaign and we are in solidarity globally against zionist injustice and actions against the many forms of resistance taking place.
