Help Abuela

My sweet 81 year old Abuela (grandmother) was kidnapped in South Tampa on Thursday, taken to 3 of her banks to withdraw all of her money which was about $20,000, and they kept her for 5 hours before taking her back to her car. You have no idea how angry this makes me. It started with a lady asking if she could help with directions and a guy pulled around with his car and told my Abuela to get in the car or they would hurt her. They asked if she had money on her and she said yes so they took her purse and got about $600 and took her purse. Then, they asked if she had more money in her bank. They took her to 3 banks, parked a block away, and told her to walk to get the money and if she tried to run or told anyone about it, they would hurt her. She obviously was scared for her life so she never told anyone in the bank what was going on. This all happened around noon and they took her back to her car around 5. They had my grandmother for 5 hours. Cops were called and they said they can't get them on kidnapping because she got in the car on her own. So frustrating! With that being said, please talk to your parents and/or grandparents about what to do in these situations. They threatened to hurt her and her family so she didn't say anything to anyone in the banks. It may not be much but I figured I would try a Go Fund Me page to see if we can help my Abuela recoup at least a little bit of her money back.  They depleted her bank accounts and it was all she had. Anything will help and I will take a video when we deliver the money to my Abuela so everyone can see her reaction!
