Help Abbi Bowman

As many of you already know, we suffered a huge loss this past weekend. On March 13th, Abbi Bowman went to what she thought was going to be a normal OB appointment. She was 32 weeks and 5 days pregnant, in what was a mostly uneventful pregnancy.

At her appointment, she was diagnosed with preeclampsia. She had a follow up appointment set for two days later on March 15th, and was sent home on bedrest. When she returned on March 15th, she received the devastating news that her baby girl no longer had a heart beat. She was admitted to UC Memorial Central hospital in Colorado Springs, and doctors started her on medications to both induce labor and control her blood pressure.  She spent the next two days preparing to say goodbye to her baby girl. On the evening of March 17th, Abbi delivered Aspen Faith.
In addition to mourning the loss of her daughter, Abbi is now left with mounting expenses. Along with her growing medical bills, she also has autopsy costs to determine what happened, genetic testing to make sure that this tragedy won’t happen again, and cremation and memorial costs for Aspen.

Nobody should ever have to lose a child and experience this pain. Abbi is so loved, and many people have asked how they can help.  As she starts rebuilding her life without Aspen, if you would like to and are able to financially contribute, it would be much appreciated.  This fund will be used to offset the cost of these expenses so that Aspen may rest in peace and Abbi can begin the process of healing from her loss without the added burden these expenses cause.
