Help Aaron Get Home & Get Well!

As some of you may know, Aaron took a trip to Colorado last weekend. During his stay, he took a spill down a flight of stairs resulting in a broken wrist, and more importantly a brain injury. Although this type of brain injury is very serious, doctors are telling Aaron’s family that his scans look promising, and he is expected to make a full recovery.

While it could be worse, there are still question marks around just how long the recovery process may take. Aaron is very anxious to get home and back to work as soon as possible. His injury looks to be concentrated in his frontal lobe, affecting short term memory, mood, judgement, and more. For the thousands of us who love and know Aaron, and his brilliant mind, you can imagine what it’s like to see him in a frustrated and confused state.

Right now, the priority is transporting Aaron from Colorado back home to Florida. Upon arrival, he will be admitted to a facility where they will continue to give him 24 hour intensive care.

The transfer process is where we are looking to band together and lend a hand, monetarily. Considering the nature of his injury, Aaron is required to be flown home on a private flight with full medical care the entire time. In a nutshell, we are talking about a flying ambulance. This one way ticket will cost $19,000 and is not covered by insurance. 

Arrangements have now been made for Aaron to take his expensive flight home, hopefully sometime this week. Any contributions will be used to directly off-set these costs for Aaron and his family. Our hope is that he will soon be able to read these comments and see the blessings that people are sending him. He needs to be surrounded by friends and family that know and love him.
