Special Kay suffered the collapse of the left main landing gear upon landing at Fort Worth Meacham Airpot on 9 Sept 2022. This is the only flying example of the K model that was used during the Vietnam era. It represents veterans from WW2, Korea and Vietnam. Our small group of volunteers have restored the airplane over the last eleven years. You can imagine how heart breaking it is for us to see her so damaged. Kay needs an engine overhaul, replacement propeller, replacement left gear and numerous sheet metal repairs. Even though our volunteers will do most of the repairs, the most expensive items have to be sent out to specialized shops. This is why we need your assistance. Please help us return her to the skies and return to the airshow circuit.
