Hello, my name is Chloe, and I’m a young mum to a 3-year-old who has recently been diagnosed with left temporal lobe epilepsy.
After months of confusing symptoms, I suffered tonic-clonic seizures on December 5th, 2024, which led to my diagnosis. Since then, I've experienced many more tonic-clonic seizures and frequent clustered myoclonic seizures, all without known triggers.
These episodes have not only affected my health but have completely upended my life.
Due to the unpredictable nature and other health issues, I am now considered high-risk. Meaning that every seizure is a medical emergency requiring urgent intervention and often hospitalisation. The stress of these health challenges has been overwhelming, especially with the added difficulty of being unable to work, I’ve been unable to use my newly earned nursing diploma, unable to drive, care for my daughter alone

Despite my partner working full-time and our family helping to care for me around the clock, we are struggling financially. Unfortunately, I’ve been rejected from multiple Centrelink claims, and other financial supports leaving us without any additional support. We are solely relying on one income.
In an effort to ease our financial strain while I’m unable to work and to ensure my health and safety, I’ve set up this GoFundMe. The funds raised will go toward:
-Driving services for medical appointments
-Additional medical tests, scans, and medications
-Assistance with rent and household bills
