Help Support a Young Family Conquer Cancer

It's not every day in one's life that you meet a person who leads by example and through this example inspires you to be a better person. To be a better friend. To be a better spouse. To be a better parent. To be a better follower of God. For so many people, that person is Pat Connor. Pat and his incredible wife, Kacey, lead their lives in a manner that lifts others up and encourages those around them to be their best selves. They have three amazing children - Quinn, age 5; Hazel, age 3 and Everett, age 1.
In late June Pat had an upset stomach and some other mild, abnormal symptoms that led Kacey, an experienced nurse, to have him schedule a telehealth visit with his doctor. The physician decided that the next step was to have some lab work done. Little did he know that his life was about to be turned upside down. After months of tests, surgeries, and sleepless nights the Connor family received the news no one should ever have to hear. Pat has Cholangiocarcinoma, a rare aggressive cancer of the bile duct. Virtually unheard of at his age.
On September 24, 2020 Pat went into a major surgery with hopes of making significant progress towards complete recovery. A few hours later Kacey was given the news no one in this world wants to hear, especially the wife of a 34 year old loving husband, amazing Dad, and caring friend to so many. Their worst fears were coming true. The cancer had spread and was inoperable. The only path forward is aggressive Chemotherapy.
Pat's battle with cancer has only just begun. He and Kacey remain steadfast in their request for prayers and intercession with our Heavenly Father on their behalf. Their faith in God, even through their darkest hours, is truly admirable and serves to strengthen the faith of those luckily enough to be close to them. We will continue to pray on his behalf while also seeking out other ways to help Pat and his family on this journey. Anyone who knows Pat knows he will do anything for us. If we were in this situation he would be the first person offering everything he could to help out.
His family, friends and community have stepped up in more ways than anyone could have imagined. With that being said, we can do more. This fundraiser is to help the Connor family focus all of their efforts towards recovery. The funds received will go towards medical expenses and allowing Pat and Kacey the required time off work to fight this battle. We all wish we could take the pain the family is feeling away. No amount of money will do that, but our hope is that with this fundraiser we help eliminate a small fraction of the stress that they are experiencing every single day.
