Today, March 7, 2017, God took a young man way too soon.
Joe left 6 beautiful children and a lovely wife, who has been left in such a tough position of raising two of them on her own.
Joe, I will never forget you. Your amazing musical talent, your jokes. You were SO much smarter than you thought you were. One of the most intelligent people I ever had the chance to meet. You gave me one hell of a chess game. I miss those days we would jam, while playing chess, and having DEEP debates or conversations about whatever. You were loyal to the ones you cared about, and loved with everything you had. I know you had a hard childhood, but always pushed through and stayed as optimistic as you could. You were one of the very few people I felt was on the same level or page as me, whether it was intelligence, music, or whatever. You were one of my best friends.
I don't know what happened after I moved to Tennessee, but I know things got harder for you and it hurt me to see you suffering. I tried to be there for you, even though distance was an issue. I can't help but wish I could have done something, or helped SOME HOW. I missed you before, but now I REALLY miss you. It just doesn't seem fair.
I will see you again my friend.

Those of us that knew Joe need to step up and help out. Even if it's just a little bit, Laura could really use our help because she has a long road ahead of her. Raising kids is a task unto itself, but now they will be raised without their father. Laura needs to know people care and won't let her fall. She and the kiddos need a little help, so that's why I created this GO FUND ME. A dollar here, a dollar there, every little bit will help her attempt to get back on her feet. It's not an answer, but it's SOMETHING to ease the pain. And she and the kids could really use that right now.
