Help a veteran walk again

Hello. This is my friend Sam. He was a victim of assault and his car was stolen in Tijuana, Mexico which resulted in a fractured T5/T7 vertebrae in his spine and a punctured lung. Due to being out of the US, he went into emergency surgery in Mexico attempting to stabalize his spine. At the moment, he is paralyzed from the waist down. Sam is an Army Vet. This gofundme is to cover the cost of the care he received at the hospital in Mexico and for some financial assistance while he is unable to walk. Sam is the sole caregiver of his family.
