Help a Ukrainian family escape to Houston

Hi, my name is Yana and this is my fist time using the gofundme fundraising system.
I know many of you have been following the ongoing crisis in Ukraine and were wondering what you can do to help.  This is a real opportunity to help my friend and her young daughter escape the war and flee to safety.   Up to the day of the Russian invasion, she had a regular life, a happy family, a steady income and just like many other Ukrainians all of that was taken away in a day.  For weeks, she resisted leaving her home, hoping for victory for her country, however it is now gotten too dangerous and unstable to remain there and she is currently enroute to the Polish border with only her daughter and a small backpack.  Her husband and 20-year old son are staying to defend their country and she is heartbroken to be leaving them behind.   We are thankful for the Polish volunteers who are coming to greet them at the boarder and help them to the airport and they are lucky that they have visas to be allowed in to the US.  It would be greatly appreciated if you can help with whatever you feel is appropriate.  Your donation will help get my friend and her daughter to the US and will offset some of the initial expenses of getting them settled, and with their stay, until they can safely return to their home in Ukraine.
