<div>Τα τελευταία χρόνια, από τότε που άρχισα το ιατρικό μου transition, έχασα σχεδόν όλα όσα θεωρούσα δεδομένα: την οικογενειακή φροντίδα, την αποδοχή, την ασφάλεια. Όταν η μητέρα μου έμαθε ότι θέλω να προχωρήσω στην ιατρική μου φυλομετάβαση και να αλλάξω την υλικότητα του σώματός μου, μου είπε απαίσια και σκληρά λόγια που με διέλυσαν. Αυτή η απόρριψη με βύθισε σε δύο χρόνια βαθιάς κατάθλιψης, μια περίοδο που ένιωθα να πεθαίνω σιγά-σιγά μέσα μου, μέχρι που κατάφερα να σταθώ ξανά με φάρμακα, θεραπεία και τεράστια ψυχική προσπάθεια. Έχασα επίσης τη δουλειά μου όταν έκανα coming out στους συναδέλφους μου, και ακόμη προσπαθώ να βρω εργασία σε μια αγορά που με βλέπει πάντα “πριν” και ποτέ “ως εμένα”.

<div>Αυτό το GoFundMe το δημιουργώ γιατί θέλω να νιώσω ασφαλής στο ίδιο μου το σώμα. Έχω ξεκινήσει ενέσιμη ορμονοθεραπεία, που έχει ήδη αλλάξει πολύ το σώμα και τη ζωή μου όμως κάποια χαρακτηριστικά, όπως η δομή των οστών στο πρόσωπο, δεν μπορούν να αλλάξουν χωρίς χειρουργική παρέμβαση. <strong>Η δυσφορία που μου είναι βαθιά και διαρκής δεν είναι θέμα “αισθητικής”, είναι θέμα επιβίωσης! Πρόσφατα είχα ραντεβού με έναν εξειδικευμένο χειρουργό για FFS (Facial Feminization Surgery), με συνολικό κόστος περίπου 6.500 ευρώ </strong>(£5,660 GBP)<strong> μαζί με φάρμακα για αποθεραπεία κλπ. Οι επεμβάσεις περιλαμβάνουν τροχισμό και μείωση του μετώπου, ανόρθωση φρυδιών, χαμήλωμα του hairline και μια πιο λεπτή, θηλυκή μύτη. Αυτές οι αλλαγές θα με βοηθήσουν να συμβιώνω με το είδωλό μου, να κυκλοφορώ χωρίς φόβο, να μη χρειάζεται να απολογούμαι για το φύλο μου κάθε μέρα. </strong>

<div>Ευτυχώς έχω κοντά μου ανθρώπους που με αγαπούν και που με στηρίζουν στα βασικά (φαγητό, φάρμακα, ορμόνες). Όμως αυτή η επέμβαση ξεπερνά τις δυνατότητές μας.

<div>In the past few years, since I began my medical transition, I’ve lost almost everything I once took for granted family care, acceptance, safety.

<div>When my mother found out that I wanted to proceed with my medical transition and change the materiality of my body, she said cruel, painful things that broke me. Her rejection pushed me into a two-year period of deep depression — a time when I felt like I was slowly dying inside, until I managed to stand up again through therapy, medication, and immense inner effort.

<div>I also lost my job after coming out to my colleagues, and I’m still trying to find work in a labor market that always sees me as “before,” never as me.

<div>I’m creating this GoFundMe because I want to feel safe inside my own body.

<div>I’ve been on injectable estrogen therapy, which has already changed my body and my life in many beautiful ways — but some characteristics, like the bone structure of my face, can’t change without surgical intervention.

<div><strong>The dysphoria it causes is deep and constant it’s not about “aesthetics,” it’s about survival.</strong>

<div><strong>Recently, I had an appointment with a specialized surgeon for Facial Feminization Surgery (FFS).</strong>
</div>
<div><strong>The total cost is around €6,500 </strong>(£5,660 GBP)<strong>, including medications and recovery. The procedures include forehead reduction and contouring, a brow lift, lowering the hairline, and a softer, more feminine nose.</strong>
</div>
<div><strong>These changes will help me coexist with my reflection, move through the world without fear, and stop having to apologize for my gender every single day.</strong>

<div>Thankfully, I have people who love me &amp; help me cover the essentials (food, medication, hormones).
