<div><strong>Bark!</strong> My name is Dexy, and I’m a trans woman and full-time independent furry 3D artist doing my best to stay afloat through one of the hardest times of my life.

<div>After months of searching, I’ve applied to over 100 jobs - even building automation tools to help me manage the process - but almost none of them ever responded. It’s been disheartening. The job market is overwhelmed right now, and as a disabled trans woman, finding a safe and accommodating workplace has been next to impossible.

<div>So I chose to follow my passion and turn my creativity into a full-time career. I create 3D art, characters, and VRChat assets for the furry community - a place that has given me love, purpose, and belonging. Most of my income comes from commissions, and I’ve also opened a storefront where I sell VRChat assets and avatars that directly support me.

<div>The first couple of months went wonderfully, but this month has been slow. Commission work dropped off, and I’ve been doing everything I can to find new clients and rebuild momentum. Unfortunately, that slowdown means I’m now struggling to cover rent and utilities for this month, and I don’t have anywhere to turn if I lose my home.

<div>I also have a cat named Gus, my sweet intersex companion who’s been with me through everything. She’s family and a huge part of what keeps me grounded and hopeful. I want to make sure she always has a safe, warm home with me, no matter how hard things get. She’s been my little source of comfort on the hardest nights, and knowing she’s safe means the world to me.
