Help a Trans Couple Leave an Abusive Situation

Hello! Our names are Lilya and Tess and we're a trans couple living in the south. Back in June we were forced to move in with Tess' family, which is an extremely toxic and abusive situation, especially for Lilya, that we had only managed to finally escape with assistance back in 2020. We don't want to go into detail for safety reasons, but this living situation actively endangers us, especially Lilya, on a daily basis. Especially because Lilya is Indigenous and Tess' family is incredibly racist and prejudiced.
On top of that, we're living in the deep south where it is becoming increasingly dangerous to be trans every single day. So between the abusive household, being trans and Lilya being Indigenous, the south has just become far to dangerous for us to remain in. We need to get out.
We're looking to raise $15,000 at a minimum, but $20,000 is preferable to help with fees and not-entirely necessary purchases, before June in order to move up north to live with friends and a much safer environment. This amount will cover moving costs, replacing furniture damaged in the uninhabitable conditions of our last apartment (such as our bed), get our cat's shots and meds up to date because most apartments require that, and help cover a few months of rent and bills as we get back onto our feet and settled into work wherever we end up.
