Hello! My name is Landon Parcel. I’m 16, a Junior, and am currently attending Eastlake High. I’m very involved in my community and school. I attend church on a regular basis where I both work and sing in the choir, I’m a Boy Scout on track to become an Eagle, and I’m in my school’s Marching and Concert band as well and our Indoor Percussion Ensemble. I also counsel at and attend a summer camp in Julian as well as go on an annual mission trip to Ensenada Mexico and build homes. While these are all very important and quite large aspects of my life, they aren’t my passion. They aren’t what I want to do in life. Motorsport, particularly driving, takes that place. I’ve been karting for years at local tracks like K1 and Speed Circuit. But last year, I made the move to a higher level of karting at CalSpeed Karting, home of the largest arrive and drive karting competition in the world. Hosted on the grounds of the Auto Club Speedway in Fontana Ca, this was an affordable option to take my racing career to the next step. However, it is now time for me to take it even further. These past few weeks, I’ve been in contact with several teams that race in the Formula 4 US Championship. Formula 4 is a feeder series for Formula 1 and often, where drivers aspiring to race in F1 start their professional career. The team that I’ve had the strongest connection with is Jensen Global Advisors based in Texas. Eric Jensen, the founder of the team, helped coach rising F1 talent Lance Stroll and former F1 driver and now winner of the Indianapolis 500, IndyCar driver Alexander Rossi. Eric played key roles in these driver’s development, coaching them from the start of their racing careers. The race team has brought many drivers, some in their rookie season, starting with less experience then I have, to championship contenders within their first season. In order for me to join the ranks as a driver for the 2021 season, Eric has asked me to come to their home track and attend some of their testing sessions. There is a problem though. Finances. One of the biggest issues with motorsport is that you need money. At the beginning of your career, specifically in my case, F4 teams don’t have the budget to pay for the season and their testing dates by themselves. They rely on their drivers to pay for the car, the fuel, and the track rental. In order for me to attend those necessary test dates, it will cost me roughly 12,000 dollars. My family is very supportive of me racing but told me that I need to fund these testing dates by myself to show my dedication to making this not just a hobby, but a potential career path. Currently, I’m working 2 jobs but that just isn’t enough to pay for the testing days. If I can do well at the test dates and get signed as a driver, I will be able to secure sponsorships to assist in the payment of the season. I will be able to offer advertising on a global scale, as well as targeted advertising in both our community and in LA (as I will still be karting up in Fontana). But, until I can claim that seat as mine, I don't have the record behind me to ask for sponsorships. I do not want this to be the end of my racing journey. I know that I have the talent, the potential, the passion to become an F1 driver. I have the drive and determination to reach my goal of becoming the first ever American Formula 1 World Champion. But I need help in starting that journey. Any donation, no matter the size, will help me in my goal. If you can donate, you will become an integral part of my racing journey and forever someone who supported me in attaining my dream. Racing has always been the place where kids with dreams make history. Every F1 driver, every world champion, was in my shoes at some point in their lives. Money is a hurdle, but it is something that with help, I can overcome. If you believe in me, if you can see my passion and determination, please, donate anything you can. This is the opportunity of a lifetime for me. And I don’t want it to slip away.

If you have further questions regarding the process of obtaining sponsorships or what my future would look like as a driver, email me @ [email redacted] or text/call me @ (619) [phone redacted].
