Recently, she faced a life-changing accident while driving from Pereira to Cali for a critical medical appointment. She was on her way to see the only specialist in the region who could help treat her Chordoma, a rare and serious condition. Just an hour into her four-hour journey, a capybara suddenly appeared on the freeway. In an effort to avoid hitting the animal, she swerved and her 2015 Honda CRV rolled into the center divider, leaving her car completely totaled. Thankfully, she survived, but the accident has left her without a reliable way to reach her vital medical appointments or cover the mounting costs of surgery and treatment.
