Life has thrown a lot at my friend, Johnette. After losing her job late last year, it's been difficult to catch up. She has faced illness and hospitalization, the loss of her aunt and best friend, and the loss of her car. Through it all, she has carried herself with strength and grace all while raising two amazing boys on her own.
Johnette’s sons are a reflection of her love and character. They are kind, courageous, respectful. They love school and sports. But the weight she has been carrying is heavy. She has fallen behind on rent, lost her vehicle, and is now relying on rideshares to get her kids to school and herself to work. Her landlord has shown grace by allowing her to stay in her home with the promise of catching up on back rent, but the financial hole has been difficult to climb out of.
What makes Johnette so special is that even in her hardest moments, she is the one who opens her home, feeds others, and checks in just to make sure you’re okay. Now it’s our turn to show up for her.
I am asking our community to come together and help her get caught up on rent and bills so she can regain some stability and begin to rebuild.
Every little bit helps give her the fresh start she deserves! If you can't donate, please consider sharing this page.
